Curbs in Srinagar parts tomorrow, Mirwaiz placed under house arrest | KNO

Srinagar, March 07 (KNO) : In the wake of strike and protest call given by the JRL, authorities in Srinagar have decided to impose restrictions in the parts of summer capital to maintain law and order while as Hurriyat Conference (M) chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been placed under house arrest, sources told KNO. Hurriyat (M) said Mirwaiz was informed that he can’t move out of his Nigeen residence as he has been placed under house detention. Sources said that restrictions under section 144 will remain in place in areas falling under the jurisdiction of police station Mahraj Gunj, Safa Kadal, Khanyar, Nowhatta and Rainawari in downtown and also in Maisuma area of uptown Srinagar.(KNO)
